CHP Deputy Chairman, Burhanettin Bulut, has strongly criticized the statements claiming that Adana Şakirpaşa Airport’s closure does not reflect the truth. Bulut argues that authorities announcing the airport will only be used for training flights are misleading the public.
In his statement, Adana Member of Parliament Burhanettin Bulut said, “Some officials claim that Adana Şakirpaşa Airport has not been closed and will only serve training flights. However, the reality is that the airport has been shut down.” Bulut emphasized the negative impacts of this situation on the people of Adana and the regional economy, urging for a reconsideration of the decision.
Highlighting the misinformation being spread to the public, Bulut asserted, “For Adana and the regional economy to remain vibrant, Şakirpaşa Airport must operate at full capacity. An airport reduced to training flights cannot benefit Adana.”
Following Burhanettin Bulut’s statements, more detailed information regarding the future of Şakirpaşa Airport and the announcement process of the decision is awaited from the authorities.
