Burhanettin Bulut, Deputy Chairman of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) responsible for Public Relations and Media Relations, has drawn attention to the restrictions on constitutional rights. The Adana MP, in a recent statement, sharply criticized the limitations placed on communication freedom.
Bulut emphasized that people’s constitutional communication freedoms are being restricted with just a single action. Highlighting that such restrictions are unacceptable in democratic societies, Bulut underlined that communication freedom is a fundamental right.
In the statement released by CHP’s Media and Relations Unit, Bulut particularly pointed out that in today’s era where digital communication is widespread, such interventions undermine societal progress and free thought.
The issue raised by Burhanettin Bulut emerges as an important matter that needs to be evaluated within the framework of democratic values and constitutional rights underlying communication freedom.
