Young Volunteers in Adıyaman Receive Training from AFAD
Following the February 6, 2023 earthquakes, training activities have commenced for young individuals who registered as volunteers at the AFAD Adıyaman Provincial Directorate.
In an effort to support potential disaster scenarios, individuals who wish to volunteer with AFAD have been systematically registered. After the registration process, these young volunteers underwent extensive training by AFAD officials.
The training includes essential skills such as setting up tents, firefighting, search and rescue under debris, and providing emergency response to accidents. These young volunteers are now prepared to serve in the event of any disaster situation.
AFAD officials noted that both the training sessions and volunteer applications are ongoing. They highlighted the substantial interest shown by numerous people who aspire to become AFAD volunteers, resulting in a significant surge in volunteer registrations.
