**Istanbul’s “KUYU-14” Operations Capture 15 Suspects for Workplace Shootings**

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced that 15 suspects involved in workplace shootings have been apprehended in Istanbul through the “KUYU-14” operations.

The operations were conducted in the districts of Zeytinburnu, Beşiktaş, Kartal, Bağcılar, Eyüpsultan, Bayrampaşa, Bahçelievler, Sultanbeyli, and Ataşehir. The suspects, part of an organized crime group directed by a leader based abroad, were involved in various crimes such as:

– Organizing for the Purpose of Committing a Crime

– Attempted Murder

– Violations of Law No. 6136

– Extortion

– Threats with Firearms

– Workplace Shootings

– Deliberately Endangering Public Safety

– Property Damage

Among the apprehended suspects, 14 have been arrested while the process for one is ongoing.

Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security KOM, the Organised Crime Division of Istanbul Police Department revealed that the suspects were responsible for:

– Attempted Murder and Property Damage on June 26, 2024, in Bahçelievler

– Workplace Shooting at E.S.K. in Sultanbeyli on July 3, 2024

– Workplace Shootings at two separate locations (S.O. and M.O.) in Ataşehir on July 3, 2024

– Six cases of workplace shootings, threats, and deliberate injury in Eyüpsultan and Bayrampaşa on July 11 and 13, 2024

In total, the suspects were involved in 10 different criminal activities between June 25 and July 14, 2024.

During the operations, authorities seized:

– 7 unlicensed handguns

– 1 AK-47 long-barreled rifle

– 1 automatic pistol

– 1 precision scale

– Various amounts of narcotics

– Significant sums of foreign and Turkish currency.
