CHP’s Burhanettin Bulut Hopes for Constitutional Court’s Intervention
CHP Adana MP and Deputy Chair responsible for Public Relations and Media Relations, Burhanettin Bulut, expressed hope that the Constitutional Court would issue a stay of execution. In a statement by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, he emphasized, “CHP municipalities will of course resist and not comply with the covert orders of ‘massacre’ embedded in this law. They will continue to fulfill their responsibilities as they have been doing.”
Özel underlined that CHP municipalities will always resist unlawful and human rights-violating regulations. With regards to the anticipated ruling from the Constitutional Court, the importance of upholding the rule of law was highlighted.
