Turkey Launches “Health Valley” Project to Boost Domestic Health Technology Production
In a landmark decision published today in the Official Gazette, the “Health Valley” project has officially commenced. The initiative received the green light with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Turkey aims to establish a significant ecosystem to enhance domestic production in health science and technologies, reducing reliance on foreign imports.
The Health Valley is designed to be inclusive for everyone interested in advancing in science and technology fields. The primary goal of the project is to create a self-sufficient Turkey capable of not only meeting its own needs but also assisting other countries in need. Through the proposed localization process, Turkey’s dependency on foreign resources in the healthcare sector will be substantially diminished.
