President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during his speech at the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day Commemoration Program, emphasized the determination and resolve of the nation in safeguarding the country’s independence. Erdoğan noted that July 15 stands as a monumental example of resistance, akin to the battles of Çanakkale and the War of Independence.
Erdoğan stated, “On the night of July 15, the nation’s independence was saved by the nation’s own determination and resolve. This date is the greatest epic written by our nation in the last century since the War of Independence,” he declared. Additionally, he underlined that July 15 is not only a tale of resistance that will be recounted with pride for years to come but also a symbol of the nation’s rebirth from its ashes.
