Ministry of Family and Social Services Unveils Comprehensive “Service Application Guide”

The Ministry of Family and Social Services has prepared a “Service Application Guide” to ensure citizens can quickly and accurately access social services and aids. The guide covers a wide range of topics, including family and community services, child services, social aid, and services for the disabled and elderly, detailing the application processes and ongoing initiatives.

Primarily targeting women, children, the disabled, and elderly, as well as relatives of martyrs and veterans, the Ministry of Family and Social Services is committed to implementing protective and preventive programs fairly, effectively, and with a participatory approach.

The newly prepared “Service Application Guide” serves to streamline citizen access to all offered services. The guide thoroughly explains various service categories including scope, application principles, eligible individuals, application units, and necessary documents.

### Guide Covers 11 Key Service Areas

The guide is structured into 11 main categories: “Services to Strengthen Family and Community,” “Child Services,” “Services to Protect Women’s Status,” “Services for the Disabled,” “Services for the Elderly,” “Services for Martyr Relatives, Veterans, and Their Families,” “Social Aid,” “International Services,” “Call Centers,” “Donations and Aids to the Ministry,” and “Services Provided in Institutions.”

To build a peaceful and strong Turkey, the Ministry is continually developing social policies and services for families, taking into account evolving needs. The guide includes information on family education programs, family counseling services, support for young couples, psychosocial support during emergencies, and addiction combat efforts.

### Services Tailored to Various Needs

The Ministry is expanding its child services based on a family-centered approach to cater to different needs. The guide provides information on family-centered child services, protection and care services, daycare services, preventive services, employment of youth under protection, and other related child services.

Services for women include counseling, guidance, and monitoring for women at risk or who have faced violence. Additionally, the guide details services aimed at enhancing women’s participation in economic and social life.

Under the category for the disabled and elderly, the guide outlines care and other relevant services. It also includes information on family aid, housing and food aid, disability and elderly aid, health aid, education aid, and project support under social aid.

The guide addresses services for relatives of martyrs, veterans, and their families, providing answers to various questions about employment, free travel, and commemorating martyrs.

Moreover, information on donations and aids to the Ministry, advisory services for citizens living abroad, and international social service case studies are included.
