Turkic States Organization Informal Summit Held in Shusha, Karabakh

The Turkic States Organization (TSO) Informal Summit took place in the city of Shusha, Karabakh. Representing Turkey at the summit were Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Chairman of the TSO Aksakals Council, Binali Yıldırım, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, and various other officials.

Vice President Yılmaz highlighted the increasing significance of the global economy and the region, noting the pride in the level of cooperation within the TSO. He emphasized the critical role of Turkic States in energy supply security and articulated that energy and transportation projects, primarily Turkmen gas, will enhance both the prosperity of the Turkic World and Europe’s energy security.

Yılmaz pointed out that the Turkic States are engaging in joint efforts on issues such as the development of the Middle Corridor, combating climate change, and promoting green transformation. He also stated that cooperation on topics like establishing a ceasefire in Gaza would reinforce the partnership and underscore the global role of the Turkic World.

Referring to the crises surrounding the region, Yılmaz asserted that these are not just regional but global challenges, stressing the importance of mutual efforts under the motto “Unity is Our Strength” in facing all difficulties.

Yılmaz wished for positive outcomes from the summit themed “Building a Sustainable Future with Transportation, Connectivity, and Joint Climate Actions” and the signed Karabakh Declaration. He extended gratitude to Azerbaijan for hosting the event, particularly President Ilham Aliyev, and conveyed his love and affection to the people of the member states of the organization.
