45 Suspects Detained in Major Anti-ISIS Operation “BOZDOĞAN-48” Across 16 Provinces
The Minister of Interior, Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, made important announcements regarding the “BOZDOĞAN-48” operations against the ISIS terrorist organization. Mr. Yerlikaya stated, “45 suspects were apprehended in operations conducted across 16 provinces targeting the ISIS terrorist organization.” The minister emphasized the determination in the fight against terrorism and assured the public that the fight will continue with their support.
In coordination with the Intelligence Department of the General Directorate of Security and the Counterterrorism Department, local police departments carried out operations in 16 provinces including Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Düzce, Istanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Kırşehir, Kilis, Kocaeli, Konya, Kütahya, Manisa, Sakarya, and Şanlıurfa. These operations resulted in the detention of 45 suspects.
A substantial amount of foreign currency, Turkish Lira, and digital materials were confiscated during the raids. These materials could provide critical information to expose the activities of the terrorist organization.
Mr. Ali Yerlikaya extended his congratulations to the heroic police officers who carried out the operations, saying, “I praise our heroic police officers who executed these operations. May God protect you. Our nation’s prayers are with you.” He reaffirmed that the fight against ISIS will persist.
