AK Party MP Fuat Oktay Responds Sharply to German Official’s Accusation Against President Erdoğan
AK Party Ankara MP Fuat Oktay has strongly opposed the accusations made by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Federal Parliament, Roth, who claimed that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is dividing the Turkish community in Germany.
Oktay emphasized that President Erdoğan has consistently advised Turkish citizens living abroad to integrate into the countries they reside in. He noted that such accusations against Erdoğan are expressions of prejudice and ignorance when considering his integration messages. Oktay added that these kinds of statements reveal the true intentions behind them.
Oktay underlined that the issue rejected by Erdoğan and the Turkish community in Germany is not integration but the attempt to assimilate them by detaching them from their beliefs, history, and cultural values.
These statements have once again highlighted the clear stance of the Turkish community in Germany and Turkish officials against such claims.
