By Haberyaz Jul3,2024

Burhanettin Bulut, the Deputy Chairman of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) responsible for Public Relations and Media Relations, has spoken out against the Turkish Statistical Institute’s (TÜİK) inflation figures, highlighting the economic hardships faced by pensioners and civil servants. As the representative for Adana, Bulut disclosed that civil servants and retired civil servants received a 19.3% increase in their pensions, while those under SSK and BAĞ-KUR received a 24.73% increase.

Bulut drew attention to the financial struggles of 4 million pensioners earning less than 8,000 TL and workers earning the minimum wage of 17,000 TL, indicating that they have not received any wage increases. He expressed his frustration by saying, “Shame on those who reach into the citizens’ pockets!”
