Ankara Station Massacre Trial: Justice Remains Incomplete
In Ankara, a new ruling has been announced in the gruesome Ankara Station Massacre case, where 103 people lost their lives. The court did not classify 10 defendants, who were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment, as “guilty of crimes against humanity.”
Burhanettin Bulut, the Deputy Chairman of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) responsible for Public Relations and Media Affairs, expressed that justice is still incomplete during the final hearing of the trial. Adana MP Bulut criticized the court’s decision, stating that full justice has not been served.
During this heinous attack in which 105 people perished, many others were injured and deeply traumatized. The trials and hearings following the massacre have been closely watched by both Turkish and international public opinion.
