Turkey Introduces New Post-Natal Care Program for Mothers and Babies
Turkey’s Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, has announced the launch of a new healthcare initiative in Eskişehir, titled “Mothers and Babies Meet Their Midwives.” As part of this program, midwives conduct home visits to new mothers who attended prenatal classes at hospitals and gave birth in these hospitals. These visits aim to assess the health of mothers and babies in their natural living environments, enabling the early detection of potential issues.
The objective of this initiative is to closely monitor the health of new mothers and their newborns and to identify any problems at an early stage. Health Ministry officials emphasize that this program provides substantial support for mothers and contributes to a healthy post-natal period.
