Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made significant statements regarding the efforts pursued by the Union of Turkish Municipalities to bolster the promotion of public transportation, pedestrian, and bicycle paths.
Mayor İmamoğlu highlighted that the European Mobility Week stands as one of the most crucial projects within this context. He stated that the week aims to increase pedestrian and bicycle accessibility in cities. “We will strengthen solidarity to create cities where public transportation is encouraged and pedestrian and bicycle paths are accessible,” İmamoğlu said.
These initiatives aim to highlight sustainable solutions in urban transportation, reduce traffic congestion, and support eco-friendly transportation modes.
