New Metro Projects to Propel Istanbul into the Future
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) is launching new metro lines and driverless trains to usher the city into a new era. While metro construction continues in various parts of the city, the current fleet is also being updated.
The implementation process places significant emphasis on the employment of women. The rate of female employees at IBB has increased by 70%. IBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu stated that these measures will strengthen Istanbul’s transportation infrastructure and enhance the quality of public transport services.
