CHP’s Burhanettin Bulut Criticizes AKP Government’s Environmental Policies, Highlights Salda Lake Asphalt Road Project
Adana MP and CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut has criticized the AKP government’s inadequate environmental protection policies, citing the asphalt road project at Salda Lake in Burdur as an example. Bulut stated that such interventions disrupt the natural structure of Salda Lake.
The 15-kilometer asphalt road constructed along the shores of Salda Lake, which is considered a natural wonder and emphasized as a place where even shoes should not be worn, is damaging the lake’s ecosystem. CHP’s Bulut highlighted the seriousness of the issue and argued that such practices disturb ecological balance and cause irreversible damage to nature.
In his statement on the matter, Burhanettin Bulut underscored the AKP government’s failure to protect natural wonders, insisting that unique beauties like Salda Lake should be preserved. Bulut called on authorities to abandon such projects.
