Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who began his political career by fighting against American colonialism at a young age, commemorated the 7th anniversary of the Justice March today. Kılıçdaroğlu, who served as a bureaucrat for many years to prevent misappropriation of his nation’s wealth, has been leading the Republican People’s Party (CHP) with a mission to protect public interests and combat corruption. Now, as “Citizen Kemal,” he continues his quest for justice.

Marking the anniversary of the pivotal march, Kılıçdaroğlu reasserted his stance that the interests of the nation always trump personal gains. He emphasized solidarity with individuals and groups striving for justice, extending support to victims from various segments of society. These include Ayşe Ateş, Emine Şenyaşar, Türkan Elçi, Mısra Öz, Şengül Hablemitoğlu, Emel Korkmaz, Gülsüm Elvan, Ayşe Bülbül, Can Atalay, Selahattin Demirtaş, Adnan Selçuk Mızraklı, imprisoned journalists, Gezi protest detainees, decree-law victims, Saturday Mothers, Feb. 28 victims, and Ergenekon victims.

Kılıçdaroğlu stressed, “Without justice, fairness cannot prevail. Without fairness, humanity perishes, and the state collapses.” He highlighted that standing against tyranny is not enough and that one must also support those who strive for justice.

He concluded his speech by sending greetings to everyone who fights for justice, rights, and the rule of law.
