Health Minister Fahrettin Koca Evaluates Health Investments in Hatay
Health Minister Fahrettin Koca provided insights into the ongoing health investments in Hatay. According to Koca, new health facilities have been inaugurated in Hatay.
Among the newly opened facilities are neighborhood clinics located in Iskenderun and Samandağ. Additionally, an auxiliary service building connected to the Hatay Training and Research Hospital in Dağ Mahallesi has also been operational. This new building spans 2,550 square meters of closed area and features 43 service beds, 15 outpatient clinics, 2 surgery rooms, and a fully equipped laboratory. The building is composed of a total of 144 rooms and 635 staff members, and it can be transformed into a 100-bed hospital if necessary.
Minister Koca emphasized that the health investments in Hatay are not limited to these initiatives. State hospitals in the districts of Altınözü, Erzin, and Payas, which have been recently completed, are also set to commence providing health services shortly.
Koca also recalled the projects implemented swiftly after the devastation caused by the earthquake on February 6. Following the earthquake, the 300-bed Defne State Hospital, the 200-bed Iskenderun State Hospital, and the 550-bed Hatay Training and Research Hospital were all brought into service.
The Health Minister highlighted that these investments aim to enhance the public’s access to healthcare services in Hatay. He assured that the work will continue at full speed.
