ILO Highlights Employment Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities in Turkey
In a series of events organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) Turkey Office, it was emphasized that barriers to the employment of individuals with disabilities stem from discrimination. These events, held in Ankara on May 14, 16, and 21, included training on disability employment and brought job-seeking individuals with disabilities together with employer representatives.
The primary goal of these events is to ensure equal opportunities in workforce participation and to prevent discrimination. Organized specifically to encourage the active economic participation of individuals with disabilities, these events aimed to connect job-seeking individuals with disabilities with employer representatives. The ILO’s efforts target the elimination of disadvantages due to disabilities and the breaking down of societal prejudices.
