Minister of Finance Mehmet Şimşek revealed that a new package of tax regulations aimed at enhancing efficiency and fairness in the tax system, as well as reducing the informal economy, will soon be presented to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The Minister expressed that the draft tax work prepared for the stock market would be reassessed based on feedback from all relevant parties and, consequently, would be postponed for a certain period.
Şimşek emphasized that these measures aim to diminish the informal economy, broaden the tax base, and ensure fairness within the tax system. Once the new regulations are submitted to the Assembly, the relevant laws are expected to be enacted as soon as possible.
