CHP Women’s Branch Chairperson Expresses Concerns Over Threats to Women’s Rights

CHP Women’s Branch General Chairperson Aylin Nazlıaka has voiced her concerns regarding threats to women’s acquired rights. In a statement made to Cumhuriyet Newspaper, Nazlıaka highlighted attempts to render the law numbered 6284 ineffective under the 9th Judicial Package.

Nazlıaka emphasized that this judicial package poses significant risks to women’s safety and rights. She stated, “The rights that women have fought for years to achieve cannot be wiped out with such legal regulations.” She further underlined the critical importance of the law numbered 6284 in preventing violence against women and protecting victims of violence.

Nazlıaka noted that women across Turkey are extremely worried about this issue, asserting, “We will not remain silent in the face of these attacks on women’s rights.”

Through her statements to Cumhuriyet Newspaper, Nazlıaka also underscored the firm stance of CHP in protecting acquired women’s rights.
