Burhanettin Bulut, the Vice President of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) responsible for Public Relations and Media Relations, and a Member of Parliament for Adana, has made significant remarks concerning recent events.
Bulut emphasized that politics should not be conducted through rhetoric aimed at inciting fear and anxiety among the public. “You cannot do politics by scaring people; that is not called politics, but mafioso behavior!” Bulut stated, underlining that such approaches are unacceptable in a democratic society.
Drawing attention to those who did not extend condolences for the murder of Sinan Ateş, the former President of the Ülkü Ocakları, Bulut questioned, “How much credibility can be given to those who did not offer condolences for Sinan Ateş, who was killed on the street?” He noted that this situation would undermine trust in political actors.
Moreover, Bulut expressed that such violent and fear-driven rhetoric would not intimidate or cause concern to the CHP. “This is not a language we will be afraid of or concerned about!” he declared.
