72 Suspects Arrested in “Kıskaç-19” Operations Against FETÖ in 17 Provinces
Interior Minister Mr. Ali Yerlikaya announced that 72 suspects were apprehended during the “Kıskaç-19” operations against FETÖ conducted in 17 provinces.
In a statement made on his social media account, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya indicated that operations against FETÖ are ongoing. “Kıskaç-19” operations have been carried out over the past four days in 17 provinces, he noted.
Reporting that 72 suspects were apprehended, Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated, “We will not allow FETÖ members to catch a break. Our operations will continue with determination for the peace, unity, and togetherness of our esteemed nation, thanks to the exceptional efforts of our security forces.” He added details about the operations coordinated by the General Directorate of Security Intelligence, the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, and Counterterrorism Department, involving provincial police departments’ Counterterrorism and Organized Crime divisions.
The operations were conducted in Ankara, Bingöl, Bitlis, Edirne, Elazığ, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Izmir, Kars, Kayseri, Kırşehir, Konya, Malatya, Muğla, Sakarya, and Uşak. During these operations, it was determined that the suspects were active within the clandestine “security structure, military structure, and current structure” of the organization. They communicated through payphones, were in contact with responsible individuals within the organization, were identified in testimonies and identifications, and had finalized prison sentences and arrest warrants under FETÖ investigations.
Minister Ali Yerlikaya noted that numerous digital materials and organizational documents were seized during the operations and congratulated the security forces that carried out these actions.
Minister Yerlikaya further emphasized that the operations will persist to ensure the nation’s security and unity.
FETÖ OPERATIONS CONTINUE IN 17 PROVINCES
In the last four days, “KISKAÇ-19” operations against FETÖ were carried out, and 72 suspects were apprehended.
