486th Anniversary of Preveze Naval Victory Commemorated in Istanbul
In a grand ceremony held on September 27, 2024, the 486th anniversary of the Preveze Naval Victory and Navy Day was celebrated at the Kaptanıderya Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Monument in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. The event witnessed the participation of sailors and citizens alike.
During the ceremony, the naval vessel TCG ANADOLU, along with 15 other ships, passed through the Bosphorus Strait, saluting the Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Tomb. This symbolic gesture highlighted the might and historical significance of the Turkish naval forces.
