Anniversary of Anton Chekhov’s Passing Commemorated Globally
Today marks the 120th anniversary of the death of the great Russian writer Anton Chekhov, a significant figure in world literature. Chekhov’s plays, including “The Seagull,” “Three Sisters,” and “The Cherry Orchard,” continue to be performed not only in Russia but also internationally, and they are also adapted for cinema. Chekhov’s works have left an enduring mark on the worlds of literature and theater, maintaining their relevance with universal themes and characters.
