Taking off from the city center, the tour covered the 12-kilometer route to Kuzugüden Village.

The event saw participation from Iğdır Governor Ercan Turan, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Nihat Özkök, Provincial Police Chief Erden Sakarya, nature sports enthusiasts, and citizens.

Participants visited the Oba Village Martyrdom, where 90 Turks killed by Armenians are buried.

During his address at the martyrdom, Governor Ercan Turan said, “Our first stop on this bicycle tour, held to mark the 185th anniversary of our Gendarmerie, was Oba Village. This is one of the most significant villages for us, where the Armenian atrocities were most intensely experienced. We will never forget the Armenian atrocities, we will never forget Çanakkale. If we forget the cruel acts, it will cause us to lose track of our roots and put us at significant risk in the future.”

At the end of the tour, Governor Turan presented gold gifts to the oldest, youngest, and best cyclists.
